ive always felt my legs are fragile when i do the u turn while jogging ,could this have been the cause?
Answer:
You can tear the meniscus in so many ways, so it's certainly possible. My husband tore his from repetitive kneeling when he was building our kids a playhouse. In those days they just removed it. My daughter went down a slide on her feet, with her knees bent, when she got to the bottom she couldn't straighten her leg. She was 16 at the time %26 had surgery to repair it. Today she went in for another meniscus surgery, she received in a car accident. She had 3 tears, all of which the Dr managed to repair.
Repairing the meniscus is a long healing process ( 3-4 months) while getting it removed is a breeze. The only problem is years down the road you end up with artiritis, like my hubby
