A spider bite?

my brother's toe has swollen up and is red and has black spot on it he said he didn't if a spider bit him or what. does anybody know what it may be?
Answer:
he should see the Dr. immediatly. Probably not a spider bite very possibly a Staph infection. I work in a Dr.s office and we rarely see spider bites. its usually Staph that people just assume a spider bit them. This is highly contagious so do not touch.
It sounds like one. He really ought to get to a Dr. to have it checked out if you live in a state that has poisonous spiders!!
better safe than sorry. tell him to go see a doctor immediately.
Poisonous spiders only exist in rainforests, so I wouldn't worry too much about it and advice him to deepen his toe in a bucket full of hot water.
whatever happened, happened. he needs medical attention soon. the black spot is dead tissue. the red and swelling is infection. antibiotics are required. call your doctor.
Our skin is full of infectious bacteria at all times. The beautiful think about our skin is that it keeps the bad stuff out. When and if a spider did bite him, the venom probably did little to no harm but the entry of the fangs into the skin may have carried unwanted organisims into the now appearing infected skin. Time to see the Doc, the the wound checked out possibly incised and drained and get on some antibiotic therapy.
